Bloody Letting Agency!

I asked the letting agency to give my friend the keys to my new accommodation so that I could move all of my things in on the Saturday before I left for New Zealand, seeing as they weren’t open on weekends. I pick the keys up from said friend, and head over to find that they’d given her the wrong key, so I’m sitting outside with two cars full of stuff, which a friend had driven many miles to help me transport. Needless to say, I’m pretty pissed about this, especially since I’m already paying for the room.

Still, I’m in Heathrow now, waiting to board my flight. Roll on New Zealand!

Coventry

Had a pretty awesome night out in Coventry this Thursday. Turned up late, thanks to spending a lot of my journey looking at the back of a tractor, lorry or bus half of the way. Tarted myself up a bit (i.e. changed my contact lenses and tacked up my hair) and hit the town with friends. Spent far too long wandering around Coventry getting lost, before finally finding the bar.

Personal advice for anybody though attempting to work your way through the entire cocktail menu in a bar is a great way to get a massive headache the next morning. Thankfully, pizza makes for great hangover food.

I did manage to get myself some new shoes the next day though:

So a little Googling brought up some more material on my friend from the other day.

Apparently his name is Ron.

An eccentric, to be sure, but you’ve gotta admire somebody for doing something that they honestly enjoy, and who enjoys entertaining others doing it!

In other news, I’m currently sitting in a garage waiting for the exhaust on my car to be repaired. On the other hand, blogging from my phone is oddly liberating!
